This is a Lululemon small blue BRAHMACHARYA shopping bag.
Here is a full view of the front of the bag. It has black cloth handles.
Here is a close up of some of the letters. There are some photos of French fries, liquor, chocolate chip cookies, pretzels, poker chip, playing cards, condoms, needles, froot loops, etc.
This is a close up of the side of the bag. I got the French version for some reason. You can see the large red omega Lululemon symbol.
Here is another close up of the side of the bag, but showing the English version.
Moderation, non-excess. This yama, or yogic philosophy teaches us to recognize that moment of ‘just enough’ so we don’t move past it into uncomfortable excess. Maybe it’s by pushing away the plate of French fries or using our pent-up energy for a run. By focusing inward, we keep our bodies healthy and energetic. (And hey, there are some things we’re better off avoiding altogether). Where in your life could you practice moderation?
This bag came out early fall and caused some controversy. I was not really aware of it until I read a really angry blog post about it in October. Those complaining seem to be the same people who criticize anything and everything about Lululemon so I take what they say with a grain of salt. I asked at one of the educators at a store about it and she agreed that some people did have a problem with it.
Me, I don’t have a problem with it. Lululemon has had controversial bags before. It’s not the nicest or coolest bag I’ve ever received from them but I’ll still use it. What about you? What do you think about this bag?
