Here are some photos of what was left of the Lululemon Seawheeze Half Marathon Showcase Store this year.
This store was supposed to be over 22,000 square feet. It did seem bigger than last year.
I got to see the store the day before and it had a pretty good inventory. I was really looking forward to getting some pieces!
I heard that people started lining up at the showcase store at 3 AM. The store opened at 7 AM. By the time it opened, there were so many people in line!
I didn’t get to the store until after my volunteer shifts (where we were run off our feet with all of the runners picking up their race packages), volunteering setting up the nooner yoga, and finally, doing the nooner yoga.
By the time I got there, it had been really picked over. I couldn’t believe how fast the inventory went. Needless to say, everything that I had my eye on, was long gone.
The biggest complaint? The store was open to the public, so runners who chose to pick up their race package would have to wait in line again. Somebody spotted an eBay ad selling Seawheeze items at 9:30! I really agree with the runners, that they should have gotten first pick. After all, many of them had paid for the entry, airline, hotels, restaurants, etc. The least Lululemon could have done was give them a little consideration.
I wish I could have been able to take pictures of the items that were sold out by the time I got there. There was some cute stuff. But, it was gone within the first hour of the sale.
I’m sure that I’ll see a lot of the Seawheeze special edition items at the race tomorrow! Check out the photos of the runners online on social media and you’ll be able to see them, too!
